Fu Helps Burst the Bubble With Aces

Level 19 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Iason Filippidis
Iason Filippidis

Maogen Fu raised to 16,000 in early position and William Haughey called in middle position. Iason Filippidis then three-bet to 51,000 in the cutoff and Fu four-bet to 125,000. Haughey got out of the way, but Filippidis moved all in for 250,000 and Fu snap-called.

"Same hand?", Filippidis asked Fu.

"No, I have aces," Fu replied as they waited to turn over their cards.

Iason Filippidis: QQ All in
Maogen Fu: AA

The AK3 flop gave Fu top set, but Filippidis picked up some slim hope on the Q turn.

"Not like this," tablemate Stephen Barnes said, and Fu dodged the one-outer on the 7 river to send Filippidis to the rail on the money bubble.

The remaining 50 players are now in the money.

Myers Stuns Barnes on the River

Level 22 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Stephen Barnes raised to 32,000 in the hijack, Daniel Myers moved all in for 210,000 on the button, and Barnes called.

Daniel Myers: A7 All in
Stephen Barnes: JJ

"What is that?" tablemate Junxian Du said to Myers.

"It's the winner," Myers replied.

The 548 flop gave Myers a straight draw, while Barnes hit top set on the J turn. The river was the 6 that Myers was looking for as he doubled up, leaving the 888poker Live Manchester champion on an extreme short stack.

"Don't put that on Instagram," Myers said.

Gavin Naughton was recently eliminated at another table.
