Jorge Alvarez raised to 40,000 on the button and Babak Shahrtash three-bet to 150,000 in the small blind. Alvarez called and the flop came J♦5♥3♠.
Shahrtash continued for 100,000 and Alvarez came back with a raise to 300,000. Shahrtash called and the 2♣ fell on the turn.
Alvarez then moved all in and Shahrtash, with around 500,000 remaining, used up a time bank before folding. Alvarez showed 10♥9♦ as he took the pot.
"I knew it," Shahrtash said as he slammed the table in frustration.
