Simpson had woken up with aces and was a big favorite to scoop the entire pot as the board ran out 6♦Q♥10♣9♣2♦. Lepore was eliminated, while Simpson doubled up off Matan.
At the same time at another table, David Sayago raised to 40,000 in the hijack and Jorge Alvarez three-bet to 120,000 in the cutoff. Sayago then moved all in for 400,000 and Alvarez snap-called.
