Thomas Clack had raised under the gun before he called Arian Kashani's three-bet to 41,000 from middle position. Kashani continued for 15,000 on the A♦4♦K♥ flop, which Clack check-raised to 40,000.
Kashani called to the A♣ turn, where Clack put him all-in for 75,000. After spending a time bank, Kashani called for his tournament life.
Arian Kashani: K♣Q♥
Thomas Clack: A♥J♣
Kashani had no outs remaining against Clack's trips, and he stood up as the K♠ river poured some salt into his wound.
Ian Burr had gotten his 130,000 chips in from the small blind and was at risk against Ling Chen in the big blind.
Ian Burr: K♠3♠
Ling Chen: A♦K♣
Burr needed running outs after the 8♥A♥Q♣ flop paired Chen's ace, and he took his exit as soon as the 8♣ hit the turn. The 2♥ river was rendered meaningless, and Chen was shipped the chips.
Ian Burr had made it 20,000 to go in the cutoff, after which Matthew Davenport moved his stack of 91,000 over the line from the big blind. After spending one of his time banks, Burr called to put the Grosvener Pro at risk.
Matthew Davenport: 6♠6♥
Ian Burr: A♣5♦
The K♠Q♥4♣3♠8♥ runout remained free of aces, resulting in Matthew Davenport's double-up.
At an adjacent table, both Harry Sandford on the button and small blind Ravi Sheth had moved all in preflop. Sinead Davenport called in the big blind covering Sandford's stack of 106,000 and Sheth's stack of 113,000.
Harry Sandford: A♥Q♣
Ravi Sheth: 9♠9♥
Sinead Davenport: A♠Q♠
"He runs so good," Sandford said to Sheth as he saw his outs were blocked.
"I've been losing a lot of these," Sheth replied.
Sheth's streak of bad luck would continue as the Q♥8♥6♠8♣K♦ board presented Sandford and Sinead Davenport with a queen, besting the nines of Sheth and sending him to the rail as the first player on Day 2.
Button Ravi Sheth had put Keith Tuckley in the cutoff all-in preflop, and Tuckley called off his stack of 205,000.
Ravi Sheth: A♦3♠
Keith Tuckley: Q♠Q♦
Tuckley flopped a set on Q♥K♦5♦, leaving Sheth drawing dead on the 6♣ turn. The chips were handed over as the 4♦ river completed the board, leaving Sheth as a short stack with 12 big blinds.
Heads up to the 4♦10♥3♠ flop, Darshan Patel checked from the big blind to Yucel Eminoglu on the button, who fired a bet of 27,000. Patel called, after which the 4♥ turn was checked through.
The A♠ river prompted Patel to lead out for 60,000. Eminoglu called after some debate and tabled A♥3♣ for top pair. Patel's cards disappeared into the muck as Eminoglu dragged the early pot.

The 2025 season of the 888poker UK Poker League is drawing to a close. The final of the £560 Main Event of UKPL Coventry, the last stop of the year, will kick off at noon local time today, with 47 players returning to the Grosvener Casino inside the Coventry Building Society Arena, and will conclude the past week of poker action.
Several Team 888poker members were among the bumper crowd of 303 entries who smashed the advertised guarantee by creating a prize pool of £143,925, but only Ian Simpson is still in contention to capture the £31,420 top prize. Simpson is no stranger to UKPL success, having conquered the Main Event at UKPL Newcastle in April. Starting Day 2 with 298,000 chips to his name, Simpson will have a healthy stack of 30 big blinds at his disposal on his hunt for title number two.
Simpson is not the only one left aiming to become a two-time UKPL champion, as this year's UKPL Reading champion Dale Wilson and UKPL Edinburgh victor Harry Sandford made it through their starting flights as well. With respectively 223,000 and 156,000 chips to their names, they are among the shorter stacks in the room as they chase continued UKPL success.

The chip lead, meanwhile, is in the hands of Terelle Tavares, who will return with a massive stack of 857,000 after steamrolling Day 1b. Day 1a chipleader Ding Fan is in close pursuit with 842,000 in chips, while Day 1d leader Qing Feng Zheng completes the podium, returning with a bag of 686,000.
Other notable names in the top ten include UK crushers Ryan Mandara and Alex Montgomery, and last lady standing Sinead Davenport.

Day 2 is the final day of the UKPL Coventry Main Event, and thus will play as many 40-minute levels as are needed to crown a champion, with the levels reduced to 30 minutes when the final five players have been reached. A shot clock will also come into play today. The blinds will restart in Level 16: 5,000/10,000 with a 10,000 big blind ante, and a small break will take place after every three levels. As has been standard this week, no dinner break is scheduled.
The returning players are not guaranteed a return on their investment yet, as only 38 spots will get paid. Once the bubble has burst, the minimum cash amounts to £1,070, with five-figure payouts awaiting the top four players. The action will also be streamed live on 888poker's YouTube and Twitch channels, on a 20-minute delay.
