Samson Drills the River to Bust Broda
Level 6
: Blinds 200/500, 500 ante
Daniel Samson limped in from under the gun before Richard Broda raised to 2,500 in the big blind. Samson called, and they went heads-up to the 7♥Q♣6♥ flop.
Broda then bet 2,100, and Samson called. Broda checked the Q♦ turn, and Samson bet 10,000. "Do you have a queen?" Broda asked.
"Do you?" Samson replied.
"No," Broda said.
"You can always reenter," Samson told him.
"This is already my fourth one," Broda replied, before he eventually committed his last 12,000. Samson called and turned over 7♣4♣, while Broda was ahead with A♥A♦.
"What took you so long?" Samson said, but he then spiked the 7♠ on the river to win the pot and send Broda to the rail.
"Crazy," tablemate Jean Grenier said.
