Four players went to a flop of 4♣5♠8♠ when Vatsal Thakkar led out for 2,200 from the small blind. Only Ramlal Basdeo called in the big blind.
Thakkar bet another 2,200 on the 9♦ turn, and Basdeo again called. The river was the 8♦ and Thakkar bet 5,000. Basdeo quickly called once more.
"Two pair," Thakkar announced, but Basdeo turned over 8♣7♠ for trips to win the pot.
Philippe Souki and Antoine Saout were among the latest additions to the field.
