Jenny Westerlund, Terry Jordon Atop the Leaderboard on Day 1a of the 888poker Live Barcelona Main Event
In a room full of Spanish locals, it was Jenny Westerlund and Terry Jordon who felt most at home today on Day 1a of the 888poker Live Barcelona €888 Main Event.
Sweden’s Westerlund and Brit Terry Jordon finished the opening flight as the top two stacks, Westerlund bagging up 428,000 and Jordon following behind with 394,000. Westerlund was near the top of the leaderboard for most of the day, catapulting to the top when she rivered a pair of kings against Michael Falcon’s nines in a pre-flop massive coin flip.
The unpredictable Jordon put on a show today inside the Casino Barcelona. He made it a habit of “live-straddling” when under the gun, raising even before the cards had been dealt. It worked out for him, as he won two big pots doing just that, including waking up with kings against Ibrain Rueda’s queens for a bustout.
