Fresh Opportunity Awaits Another Crop of Players on Day 1b of the 888poker Live Barcelona Main Event
Some new faces and returning hopefuls will descend on the Casino Barcelona at 3 p.m. local time today on Day 1b of the 888poker Live Barcelona €888 Main Event.
Already 11 players have secured their spots on Day 2 during yesterday’s opening flight, led by Jenny Westerlund with 428,000. She was followed by Terry Jordon (394,000), Kokoro Harada (309,000), Peter Jaksland (219,000), and Ian Simpson (216,000). Further down the leaderboard were Florens Feenstra (166,000) and 2024 champion Josep Valls (113,000).

The players who take their shot on the second starting flight today will begin with a 50,000 starting stack. The schedule calls for 13 40-minute levels, with a break after every three levels and a 60-minute dinner break at the end of Level 9. Unlimited reentries are allowed, with late registration remaining open until the start of Day 2.
The first flight yesterday attracted 48 entries. In addition to Day 1b, there is also Day 1c tomorrow at 3 p.m., with a turbo Day 1d flight beginning on May 23 at 11 a.m. All surviving players, plus any max-late registrants, will then combine for Day 2 at 5 p.m. on May 23.
