Paneque Takes From Simpson

A player under the gun bet 11,000 on a flop of Q♠8♣5♠ and was called by Marcos Paneque in the cutoff, as well as Ian Simpson in the big blind.

The turn was the 3♥ and both Simpson and the under-the-gun player checked to Paneque, who bet 18,000. Only Simpson called.

The 2♦ river was checked down, and Simpson showed 8♥6♥ for a pair of eights. Paneque, though, turned over 10♦10♣ to win the pot.

Lucia Navarro and Ricardo Mateus were both eliminated during the first level.
