Lyall on Fire, Scores the First Knockout
Level 1
: Blinds 200/500, 500 ante
Around 40,000 was already in the pot as Dean Lyall and Craig Conway went to the turn on a board of 10♥3♥6♠Q♣. Lyall then moved all in from the small blind, and Conway called for his last 70,000 in the hijack.
Lyall showed K♣K♠, while Conway had Q♥9♥ for a pair and flush draw. The 6♣ river was no help to Conway, and he was sent to the rail as the first casualty of the event.
Jack Hardcastle soon followed him to the rail at another table.
