Loupasis Smacks the Flop to Double
Level 8
: Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Antonios Loupasis three-bet to 5,000 in early position and was called by an opponent on the button and Andrea D'Agostino under the gun.
Loupasis continued for 3,000 on the Q♠9♦10♦ flop and the button raised to 8,000. D'Agostino called, while Loupasis then moved all in for 33,500. The button snap-called, and D'Agostino got out of the way.
Antonios Loupasis: A♦Q♦
Opponent: K♦4♦
Loupasis had flopped top pair with the nut flush draw, while his opponent was drawing thin holding K♦4♦ for an inferior flush draw. The 4♣ turn gave the button some outs, but Loupasis held on the 7♥ river to double up.
