Cuesta Goes Deep Into the Tank; Ufano Gets Paid With a Bigger Ace
Javier Garcia three-bet to 5,500 in the small blind and Nacho Cuesta called under the gun.
The flop came J♠4♣4♠ and Garcia continued for 5,000. Cuesta called to the 9♠ turn, where Garcia bet another 8,000. Cuesta again called.
The river was the 8♣ and Garcia moved all in. "You can call time," Cuesta said as he tanked for nearly five minutes before calling for his last 12,500 with 10♠10♦. Garcia could only show A♦6♥ for a bluff as he handed over the double up.
At the same time on another table, a pot of around 60,000 was brewing between Jorge Ufano and an opponent in middle position on a board of 7♣A♠2♦2♣7♠. Ufano then bet 44,000 from the big blind, and his opponent took a few minutes before calling.
Ufano showed A♦Q♦ for two pair, while his opponent mucked A♣J♣ and handed over the massive pot.
