Ockenden Smacks the Flop to Double, Gives Some Back to Saliba

A player on the button bet 1,500 on a flop of K♥5♠5♦ and the hijack called. Peter Ockenden then raised to 5,000 in the cutoff, and only the hijack called.

Ockenden bet another 8,000 on the 2♠ turn, but this time the hijack came back with a raise to 19,500. Ockenden then moved all in for 41,500, and his opponent called.

Ockenden showed K♣K♠ for a flopped full house, while his opponent had 5♥4♣ for trips. The river was the 10♥ and Ockenden doubled up.

Vivian Saliba recently took her seat at this table, and she and Ockenden tangled in the next pot. Saliba bet 1,500 from the button on a flop of 4♣3♦2♠, Ockenden raised to 4,100 in the hijack, and Saliba called.

Both players checked the 4♥ turn, and Ockenden also checked the 5♦ river. Saliba then bet 7,500, and Ockenden called.

Saliba showed K♠6♠ for a straight, while Ockenden mucked A♦5♠ for a smaller flopped straight.
