Mendiola Holds On to Double
Level 4
: Blinds 200/300, 300 ante
Heads-up on a board of 10♠8♣Q♣7♦, a player in the hijack bet 6,500 before Carlos Mendiola raised to 16,000 on the button. The hijack then moved all in, and Mendiola quickly called for 30,500.
Mendiola showed Q♥7♥ for two pair, while his opponent had K♣3♣ for a flush draw. The K♠ river gave him a pair, but it wasn't enough to avoid handing over the double up to Mendiola.
