Rivered Straight Not Enough For Akerreta
Level 26
: Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Daniel Wu raised to 225,000 on the button with A♣4♦ and Gorka Akerreta and Julien Loire came along in the blinds.
Wu continued for 350,000 on the J♥10♦8♥ flop and Akerreta folded 6♥6♣, while Loire also got rid of 8♣7♣.
Akerreta then raised to 200,000 on the button and Martin Pardo called in the big blind.
The flop came 9♣8♣6♣ and Pardo led out for 150,000. Akerreta called, and they both checked the 6♠ turn and Q♣ river.
Akerreta had J♥10♠ for a rivered straight, but Pardo had 9♥7♣ for a flush to win the pot.
