After nearly a month, the 2024 888poker XL Spring Series has reached its zenith with Day 2 of Event #41: $888 Mystery Bounty Main Event set to get underway shortly. Various Day 1 flights have been running over the last couple of weeks, attracting a total of 1,225 entries to surpass the $1,000,000 guaranteed prizepool. Of the initial hopefuls, 178 return for Day 2, all looking to secure the $83,406 top prize to go along with any bounties they collect en route.
Heading into the day, Brazil's "Regis_R69" sits in prime position with a stack of 237,447. They are followed closely by "Sheglov" of Ukraine on 231,123 while fellow Brazilian "Dangerzinn" rounds out the top three with 204,447.
The mystery bounty portion of the tournament has now been reached and given that the top bounty of $100,000 eclipses the top prize in the regular prizepool, that should be of significant interest to those retaking their virtual seats.

Play resumes at 4 p.m. ET, May 27th at the start of Level 20 with blinds of 1,000/2,000 with a 250 ante. Levels will continue to last 15-minutes for the remainder of the tournament and play on Day 2 will continue until the final table is set.
