Petty Crowned Event #4: $130 NLH Champ After Six-Way Deal

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Today's Ante Up Poker Tour Main Event in the Silks Poker Room at Tampa Bay Downs is the culmination of a six-event series that's been taking place all week long.

On Wednesday, Event #4: $130 No-Limit Hold'em ($5,000 guaranteed) drew 41 entries, which meant there was an overlay to the $3,977 generated prize pool. Only the top six players got paid and they did so by working a deal.

As a result, Michael Petty was crowned champion and took home a smooth $1,000. The other five players each received $800.

Fisher Goes Back to Back on Bustamp

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

After Ray Lambert limped in from under the gun, Niko Bustamp raised to 7,000 from the cutoff. Richard Fisher pushed all in for 15,700 on the button and the action folded back to Bustamp who called.

Fisher was slightly ahead with {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs} against the {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} of Bustamp. The board ran out {7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{a-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Fisher scored himself a double up.

In the next hand, Bustamp moved all in for his last 17,300 and Fisher quickly re-shoved over the top. Ray Lambert asked for a count and thought for a minute before finally folding.

Fisher was ahead again with {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} against Bustamp's {q-Clubs}{j-Spades}. The flop of {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{6-Spades} gave both players a pair, Fisher's being the largest. The {2-Hearts} on the turn and the {6-Diamonds} on the river changed nothing as Bustamp headed to the rail.

Kane Isolates His Opponents

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Sue Rios and Curtis Kane both limped in and Christine Holubeck shoved all in for 6,600 on the button. Benjamin Brown called from the small blind as did Rios. Kane had other plans though, as he re-shoved all in, forcing Brown and Rios out.

Curtis Kane: {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}
Christine Holubeck: {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

The board ran out {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}{j-Clubs}{5-Spades}{7-Spades} missing Holubeck completely and sending the pot to Kane.

Fisher and Bouanani Flip for Stacks

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Richard Fisher and Ab Bouanani each got all of their chips in the middle preflop with Bouanani's stack of around 35,000 being slightly covered by Fisher.

Richard Fisher: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Ab Bouanani: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

It was a coin flip for stacks and Fisher got the better end of it on a runout of {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{3-Hearts} to eliminate Bouanani.

Lambert Bows Out

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante
Ray Lambert
Ray Lambert

Ray Lambert was the early chip leader, nearly amassing a stack of 100,000 by the first break. However, the tides turned in the latter half of the day as he soon became one of the short stacks. Curtis Kane opened to 5,200 in the cutoff and Lambert pushed all in for 49,000 on the button. Landon Brown re-shoved from the small blind which got a quick fold from Kane.

Landon Brown: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Ray Lambert: {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}

Lambert was in need of two outs in order to stay alive against the pocket queens of Brown. The board ran out {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} and Lambert was sent packing late.
