Argyros Enters and Almost Exits

Billy 'The Croc' Argyros entered the event right before registration closed, but he was also almost the first one to be knocked out in the fifth level. He ended up losing half his stack to Didier Guerin who's been cruising all day so far.

There was a raise from under the gun to 650 and the next three players all called. Guerin was in position with Argyros to his direct right.

The flop brought out and the initial raiser checked. Tam Truong bet 1,200 and both Argyros and Guerin called. On the turn the hit and Truong checked to Argyros who bet 3,600. Guerin was his only caller creating heads up river action.

On the river the hit and Argyros bet 5,000. Guerin called and showed . Argyros announced he had a set and later claimed to have had pocket sixes. Argyros lost half his stack while Guerin is among the big stacks.
