Exit Grigg

Tom Grigg is no longer with us as he just explained to us how he was eliminated. He was knocked down short early on, and just missed out on a nice opportunity to double up. On a {9-}{6-}{3-} flop with two hearts Grigg bet and two players called.

On the turn an {8-} showed up and Grigg moved all in. One of his opponents called with {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for a straight and flush draw. On the river the {7-} hit and Grigg was knocked out.

Glazier Hurting Bad

Jackie Glazier's not doing too well after a terrific start, she just informed us how two big hands knocked her down to just 8,000 chips.

First Glazier had her pocket aces cracked by eights who made a straight in a pot worth around 40,000 chips. Not too long after that she flopped two pair with {A-}{2-}, only to get counterfeited on the river when a second queen showed up.

Glazier will keep fighting with her short stack, but her day will be far from easy from here on out.

The first ten minute break of the day just started. We will be right back! While you wait, check out Lynn Gilmartin's introduction to the day:

Short Day For Levy

Grant Levy did not have a fortunate day today as he's already been knocked out. The captain of the winning New South Wales team in the State of Origin event was rivered in a very big pot.

After a raise under the gun Levy called with {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts} from the small blind. The flop brought out {J-}{7-Spades}{2-Spades}. Levy check-called.

On the turn the {10-Diamonds} hit and Levy checked once more. His opponent bet 1,500 and Levy made it 3,500. The initial raiser put in 10,000 and Levy moved all in. He got called and was up against {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}. Levy's opponent was looking to catch a spade or king, and he did so when the {K-Spades} showed up.

Set Over Set Over Set

Yeah, you read that correctly. Not two, but three sets were flopped just now over on Table 26! Tim Eduard from Sydney took down the entire pot, and Sherrie Gelberg helped us out gathering all the information about this crazy set up!

Tim Eduard raised it up pre flop, and was called in two spots. The pre flop action was about as quiet as it could be, but on the {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop all three players got their stacks into the middle.

Eduard bet 500, one opponent called and the other raised it up to 1,500. Eduard three-bet to 5,700 and the first caller shoved all in. After some chatter the second player moved all in, and Eduard snap-called.

Set 2{9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Set 3{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}

Eduard was in amazing shape, and only needed to dodge two cards to scoop this huge pot. In order to seal the deal right away the turn brought the {A-Clubs} and Eduard hit quads. The river completed the board with the {3-Clubs}, and two players were eliminated.
