Nauhria Can't Win Any

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Amant Nauhria is starting to find himself in a bit of trouble.

After starting the day with a big chip lead, he is now down to just under 500,000.

The latest pot that went to Nauhria begin with Nathan Gubieski limping from under the gun. Nauhria was in the big blind and checked.

On the {10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{j-Clubs} flop, Nauhria led for 30,000 and Gubieski called.

The turn was a {5-Clubs} and Nauhria led for 45,000. Gubieski again called and a {7-Spades} was dealt on the river.

This time both players checked and Nauhria’s {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} went into the muck when Gubieski showed {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}.

“Can’t win anything today,” Nauhria sighed as he had a look at his chip stack.

Nauhria the Short Stack

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Amant Nauhria first won a big pot off Paul Gahan to see Gahan move down to around 250,000. However, now Gahan has doubled up through Nauhria to be up to 500,000 in chips, while Nauhria has see-sawed back to under 300,000.

Gahan was all in preflop holding {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} against Nauhria’s {a-Spades}{4-Spades}.

The board ran out {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and once again chips were heading away from Nauhria’s stack.

Much Needed Chips for Amant

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Nathan Gubieski opened to 40,000 from under the gun and Paul Gahan called on the button.

Amant Nauhria called in the big blind and the three took a flop of {2-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{9-Hearts}.

Action checked around and the turn produced the {10-Diamonds}. That was enough for Nauhria to declare himself all in for 241,000. Gubieski and Gahan both gave it some thought but let it go as Nauhria stems the bleeding with a much-needed pot.

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Paul Gahan - 4th Place
Paul Gahan - 4th Place

Just as play was starting to lull during four-handed action and Paul Gahan has been eliminated.

Gahan’s final hand started with Nathan Gubieski opening to 40,000 from the button. Gahan called from the small blind and it was on David Lim on the big blind, who three-bet to 110,000. Gubieski got out of the way and Gahan moved all in for around 180,000. Lim called off the extra chips and the two players turned their hands over.

It was Gahan holding {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} against Gubieski’s {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}.

The board ran out {4-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and it was all over in 4th place for Gahan.

Then there were three!

Lim Moves Further Ahead

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Following a few small heads-up pots, David Lim has taken down a hefty one.

It started with Lim opening the button to 50,000. Nathan Gubieski then three-bet to 127,000 and Lim made the call. On the {10-Spades}{k-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop, Gubieski led for 88,000 and Lim made the call.
