The final break of the night is over and the players are back in their seats.
This is the last level of Day 1b.
During the late stages of the previous level, Daniel Levy eliminated a player to keep his stack as one of the biggest in the room. The hand saw Levy raise it up to 3,100 after three players limped . The player in the small blind then moved all in for 10,275 and the limpers got out of the way.
“Why do I put myself in these situations,” said Levy to no one in particular.
Levy eventually made the call and tabled . The at-risk player held .
When the board ran out , Levy said “Bink!” as he had hit a straight and then apologised to the eliminated player and graciously shook his hand.
“No one ever won a tournament by getting it in good,” quipped Levy as he stacked his new chips.
The last time we saw Slade Fisher in a poker tournament he had long dreadlocks. He doesn’t have those anymore, but he does have plenty of chips late on Day 1b of the ANZPT Auckland Main Event.
Fisher recently dealt the fatal blow to an opponent over on Table 4. It started with Fisher opening to 1,800 from under the gun. Folded around to the player in the hijack and he moved all in for 1,975. The player in the big blind made the call and so too did Fisher.
On the flop, the big blind player checked and Fisher bet 2,100. A fold would see the at-risk player table and Fisher turn over .
A gave Fisher’s opponent some hope, but the river sealed the deal for Fisher as he sent his opponent to the rail and moved his stack to around 65,000. With just over half an hour remaining in the day, Fisher is one of the chip leaders.

A huge hand has just unfolded on Table 6 to leave Miroslav Sheynin rattled as Prashant Arora landed massive double up to join the tournament chip leaders late in the day.
It was a cooler of a flop that did the damage with the two committing their chips on a flop of . Sheynin showed but couldn’t believe his misfortune when Arora tabled for a set.
The turn was the and river the to see Arora double through to 75,000, leaving Sheynin with just 10,500 in chips

Graeme Putt, [Removed:17] and Miroslav Sheynin have all gone missing during the late stages of the day. Sheynin was looking like he was going to finish as one of the chip leaders, but ran into a monster hand that you can read about below. Yan and Putt on the other hand never really got anything going and won't be at the felt on Day 2.

It’s been a wild ride today for Pravin Harji. He’s had moments of brilliance followed by some tougher times, and he experienced all that and more in a recent hand against Asj Taylor.
The chips were in on the flop of with Harji going with for top pair, top kicker but he ran into Taylor’s powerhouse .
Harji was up on his feet, pre-empting his doom, when the appeared on the turn to the “ooohs” of the table. Taylor dropped his head when the fell on the river and Harji doubled through with his trip tens.
Harji is now back to 55,000, while Taylor managed to smile through clenched teeth as he drops to just 5,500 in change.
