Huang Wins Huge, First Player Over Six Figures

Team PokerStars Pro Bryan Huang has been to Queenstown for the ANZPT twice in his career and both times he has made the final table. In 2012 Huang finished in 7th and in 2010 he finished in 9th. Now, in 2013, he has made a good start towards making a third final table.

It started with Huang opening to 900 from the hijack. The player on the button three-bet to 3,000 and it was on Tim Woods in the big blind. He flat-called and it was back on Huang. After a few moments Huang four-bet to 12,000. The button player folded here and it was back on Woods, who five-bet to 25,000. Huang moved all in here and Woods sort of gave a shrug before making the all-in call.

Huang was looking great to be the first player to move to a six-figure stack and the news only got better when a flop was spread on the felt. The turn made Huang cringe as Woods now had a straight draw, but the river was safe and just like that, Woods was eliminated, while Huang now has a monster and will likely be the end-of-day chip leader.
