Wilcock Falls Short as Caruana Booms

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Paul Wilcock opened with a min-raise to 32,000 from under the gun and action folded around to Michael Caruana in the big blind. He announced all in and when the total of 372,000 was determined, Wilcock made the call.

Wilcock: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Caruana: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

The pair against the overcards would see “Big Slick” catch a king on the board of {2-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{k-Spades}{7-Spades}{4-Spades}. Caruana doubles to more than 750,000 with Wilcock crippled to just 90,000.

Massive Double for WhiteRabbito

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

After a preflop raising war between Dylan Honeyman and Vincent Chua, Honeyman's stack of 541,000 made it into the middle and he was at risk with {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} against Chua's {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}.

The {k-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop gave Honeyman the lead and with a safe {7-Diamonds} turn and a {10-Spades} river, Honeyman moved his stack over seven figures.

Lucky GooGie

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Edison Nguyen was just looking down the barrel of elimination but a remarkable run out of the board has given him a dramatic double up to stay alive in the Main Event.

Action folded to Nguyen in the hijack position and he moved all in for a total of 171,000. Play passed to Cameron Bryce in the small blind who made a quick call with {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} to have Nguyen in trouble with his {a-Spades}{2-Spades}.

The flop was a bare {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and Nguyen had one foot out the door, but the {2-Hearts} turn and {2-Diamonds} river brought Nguyen a couple of lucky ducks for trips to stay alive!

Nguyen doubles to 350,000 and now has some chips to do some damage while Bryce curses his luck with 225,000.

Nicholas Mullen Eliminated in 18th Place ($8,250)

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

It only took a few minutes out our final two tables to lose a player.

Nicholas Mullen first lost a pot to be short stacked, then got the rest of his chips in holding {7-Spades}{6-Spades} preflop and had to come up against the {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} of Cameron Bryce. The {9-Spades}{5-Spades}{10-Hearts} was very attractive to Mullen, but the {10-Diamonds} turn and the {3-Diamonds} river didn't give Mullen one of his many outs and so he was eliminated in 18th place.
