Three days ago the ANZPT Sydney Main Event began. After two Day 1 flights there were 458 total players in the $2,200 buy-in event, which created a $916,000 top prize. Now, as we head into Day 2, just 167 players remain in contention for the $225,300 top prize.
Leading the way with 195,200 in chips is Day 1a's Michael Pinzone, while the leaders from last night's Day 1b Michael Pinzone and Adrian Attenborough aren't too far behind.
While they don't have as many chips as Mathers, players like Milan Gurung, Reza Vakili, Daniel Neilson, Nam Le, Ben Gilholme, Oliver Gill, Dale Marsland, Alex Lee, Anthony Aston, Jordan Westmorland, former ANZPT Sydney champion Michael Kanaan, Brett Chalhoub, Mile Krsatonski, Emanuel Seal, Dylan Honeyman and Australian Poker Hall of Fame members Billy Argyros and Mel Judah.
All of these players, and a whole bunch more, will be at the felt from 12:30 p.m. all looking to survive through Day 2 and perhaps make it into the top 54 money-paying positions and start eyeing off a spot at the final table. Once again we will be here all day long providing live updates from ANZPT Sydney, so be sure to stay tuned!
Level: 9
Blinds: 600/1,200

The players have ripped open their bags and the cards are in the air on Day 2 of the ANZPT Sydney Main Event.
Word on the street (Read: the staff at The Star) is that we will be playing eight or ten levels today, which seems like a little bit of overkill considering this year's ANZPT has a whole extra day on the schedule compared to last year. However, that means tomorrow won't take too long to get to the final table.
Either way, we are a a tonne of bust outs and bad beat stories from seeing this tournament enter the record books.
There have been several quick eliminations early here on Day 2 of the ANZPT Sydney Main Event.

Mile Krstanoski has just picked up quite a few chips early on Day 2.
We arrived at the action with a big pot already in the middle and with Krstanoski involved in a hand with Nabil Edgtton. There was a considerable amount in the middle on the turn of a board and Edgtton was busy leading out for 8,800. Krastonski made the call and the dealer flipped over a on the river. Edgtton shut down here and tabled , while Krstanoski scooped the pot with his .

With the board reading , 2011 Aussie Millions champ David Gorr had a his last 29,300 in the middle and the action was on Swaran Chand. There was a big pot already in the middle, and from what we could piece together it sounded like Chand had bet 20,000 before Gorr moved all in.
Chand asked for a count before calling with her top set but she had run into the of Gorr who flopped the straight.
Chand would need the board to pair, but the turn and river completed the board to see Gorr double through to 120,000.

The following player's are no longer in their seats and considering there hasn't been any balancing of tables yet, it is safe to say they have been eliminated from the tournament.

We have just been informed that the plan today has been set at playing eight levels - unless we don't make the money by then. If we don't make the money, we will continue playing past the eight levels until we do. ANZPT Commissioner Danny McDonagh is fairly certain we will make the money in that time.
