Antonio Paino Boats Up

At table 21, Andrew Capelin bumped up the action to 300, finding calls from both Antonio Paino, and Predrag Jovanovic.

The players saw a {8-Spades} {K-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} flop and Capelin checked. Paino bet 400, Jovanovic called from the button and Capelin folded.

The turn card was the {K-Clubs} and both players checked.

The river brought the the {10-Spades}, firing Paino back into action with a bet of 800. Jovanovic turned up the heat tossing out a raise to 2,600 and Paino took less than twenty seconds before tossing out another handful of chips, making it 6,300 straight. Jovanovic went into the tank contemplating his options before finally making the call. He would be disappointed to see his rivered straight ({J-Spades}{9-Spades}) was beaten by Paino's kings full of tens ({K-Spades}{10-Clubs}) shipping the 14k pot to Antonio Paino.

Cohen Slips

The under-the-gun player limped, the button limped, Julian Powell completed from the small blind and then Julian Cohen checked his option in the big blind.

The flop came down {K-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {5-Diamonds}. Powell checked, Cohen checked and the under-the-gun player checked all before the button fired 600. Only Cohen made the call.

The turn was the {4-Hearts} and Cohen checked. The button fired 600 and was check-raised to 1,600. The button reraised to 4,600 and Cohen called, creating a juicy pot for the river.

The river was the {3-Spades} and both players checked. Cohen tabled {8-Hearts} {2-Hearts} for an eight-high flush. His opponent showed a higher flush with the {J-Hearts} {7-Hearts}.

Cohen is down to 25,000.
