Liang Eliminated

Neil Arce flat-called a 4,500-chip raise before John Liang moved all in for 14,000.

The original raiser passed and Arce quickly made the call.

Arce: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Liang: {K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}

The board ran out {9-Spades}{10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} to see Liang hit the rail as Arce chips up to over 95,000 and change.

Tournament Director Danny McDonagh has just announced that this is the last chance for players to register for the High Rollers Event.

With a little under 10 minutes remaining on the clock, anyone that is interested in joining the quality field, better do so quickly!

Hachem and Guillaume DONG'D

Joe Hachem before elimination
Joe Hachem before elimination
Jonathan 'xMONSTERxDONGx' Karamalikis opened from under the gun to 3,000 and received calls from Joe Hachem, Patry Guillaume and another player.

The flop fell down {J-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and Karamalikis lead out for 10,000. Hachem slid his last 36,000 into the middle and was instantly followed by Guillaume and his 66,000 in chips.

Karamalikis hesitated for a bit, before tossing in three red 25,000-denomination chips to signify a call.

Hachem: {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Guillaume: {5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Karamalikis: {3-Clubs}{3-Spades}

Hachem would find his diamond on the turn, but it would be the {J-Diamonds} to see Karamalikis fill up and leave Hachem drawing dead.

Guillaume could remain alive if one of the remaining two fives landed, but once the river fell the {6-Clubs}, both Hachem and Guillaume hit the rail as Karamalikis soars to 225,000 in chips.

Seabeast Picks Off Bluff

The 'Beast in action
The 'Beast in action
In a battle of the blinds Jay 'Seabeast' Kinkade checked his option in the big blind to see the {K-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop drop.

His lone opponent in the hand fired out 1,800 and Kinkade quickly made the call to see the {A-Clubs} land on the turn.

Again Kinkade was faced with a bet - one of 3,300 in which he called to see the {6-Diamonds} fall on the river and a bet of 9,500 follow.

Kinkade deliberated for just on 30 seconds before splashing the pot with two yellow 5,000-denomination chips.

His opponent shook his head and mucked his hand to see Kinkade pick off the small blinds bluff while taking the pot.

As he raked in the chips to move back to 100,000, he tabled his {k-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for top-pair.

Kagawa Soars To The Top

Jay Kinkade opened to 3,200 from under the gun before Jonathan Lin bumped it to 7,500 next to speak.

Masa Kagawa made the call, along with Kinkade, to see the {3-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop drop.

Kinkade checked, as did Lin, before Kagawa fired out 15,000. Kinkade passed but Lin clicked it back to 30,000 only to have Kagawa move all in for an additional 63,000 to Lin.

Lin spent over three minutes in the tank before laying his hand down while slipping to 61,000 as Kagawa soars back up to 148,000 in chips.

Levy Pushed Out

Grant Levy opened to 3,200 from early position only to be three-bet on the button to 9,600. The player in the big blind made the call as did Levy to see the flop of {9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{9-Clubs} drop and checks from all three players.

The turn of the {K-Spades} was lead out by the big blind for 15,000 and Levy was the only caller.

When the river fell the {9-Spades} Levy quickly folded at the sight of his opponent's 100,000-chip shove to slip to just on 100,000 and change.

Chan Takes Out Cheong

Terrence Chan opened to 3,500 from the button before Chong Wing Cheong made it 9,600 out of the small blind.

Chan made the call and when the {8-Spades}{7-Clubs}{9-Clubs} flop dropped he was faced with a 26,500-chip bet from Cheong.

After mulling over a decision for a few minutes, Chan made the call before seeing the {2-Clubs} fall on the turn and a bet of 25,000 follow from Cheong.

Chan thought for even longer this time, but instead of calling, choose to re-raise all in for his last 43,800. Cheong threw in his last 6,000 or so and the cards were tabled.

Chan: {A-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Cheong: {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}

The river blanked out with the {4-Spades} landing to see Cheong hit the rail as Chan climbs to 150,000 in chips.

Andrew Scott is the next player to register late following his Main Event elimination.

Scott managed to finish in 23rd place for a payday of US$12,489 - which was enough to cover the buy in for this event.

For Scott, this was the tournament where he got his big breakthrough when he finished runner up to Nam Le last year.
