Marcus Welcomed With Quads

Van 'Sirens' Marcus
Van 'Sirens' Marcus
After busting from the Main Event in 32nd place, Van 'Sirens' Marcus just moved to a table on the other side of the room to take part in the High Rollers Event.

On one of the first hands he played, Marcus made it 7,000 to go after a raise to 1,500 and a call.

The board of {7-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{K-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} was checked down to the river to see Marcus fire for 14,000 following checks from both his players.

The original raiser made call as the player caught in the middle passed.

Marcus looked up at his opponent and rolled his {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} for a flopped set of Quads!

"Must be nice Van, must be nice!" commented fellow Australian Emad Tahtouh as he watched on from over Marcus' shoulder.

Keep Arriving

Will Ma
Will Ma
2009 Aussie Millions Champion Stewart Scott has taken his seat on the Table of Doom featuring Chris Parker, Lee Nelson, Theo Tran, Vivek Rajkumar and Andrew Chen.

6th place finisher in this event last year, Will Ma, is now also in the field.

JJ Liu Sends Opponent Packing

JJ Liu
JJ Liu
JJ Liu has sent an opponent to the rail after calling his all in on a flop of {8-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}.

Following some heavy betting on the flop, Liu only had to call a few thousand more tabling her {Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} to be drawing live against her opponent's {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}.

The {10-Diamonds} on the turn gave her an additional two outs, and when the {7-Hearts} landed on the river, Liu eliminated her opponent while climbing up to 148,000 in chips.

David Steicke Eliminated

Steicke on the rail?
Steicke on the rail?
Many avid poker followers out there are going to be a little disappointed.

David Steicke is the first victim in today's tournament.

Talking to [Removed:505] about the elimination, he informed us that the flop fell down {A-?}{Q-?}{10-?} and on the river, Masa Kagawa shoved all in on the river for around 60,000 into roughly a 40,000-chip pot.

Steicke sat in the tank for near on eight minutes - as Kinkade put it - before making the call for this tournament life.

Kagawa tabled a set of tens and Steicke mucked as he made a relatively early exit while Kagawa climbed to over 175,000 in chips.

Johnny Chan has also arrived, and is seated with fellow tournament regulars Emad Tahtouh and JJ Liu.

Rigged Table Draw?

He might struggle in this one!
He might struggle in this one!
It's no surprise to see some heavily stacked tables when a High Rollers Event is on . . . and in this case it is no exception!

Table 28 is right on the rail - and so it should featuring the likes of Jay 'Seabeast' Kinkade, Michael Marvanek, David Steicke and the already mentioned Jonathan Lin, Masa Kagawa and Dan Schreiber.

Another table on the rail is table 27 which features Neil Arce, Jonathan 'xMONSTERxDONGx' Karamalikis, Grant 'grunter' Levy, JC Tran and Joe Hachem.

No weak spots here!

Notable Tables

Theo Tran - busted from the Main Event, and now to the High Rollers
Theo Tran - busted from the Main Event, and now to the High Rollers
With many players still registering and making their way into the tournament area; here are some of the names we've spotted so far.

Bertrand 'ElkY' Grospellier, Daniel Neilson and Celina Lin are seated together while Jonathan Lin, Masa Kagawa and Dan Schreiber have also found themselves battling it out.

Emad Tahtouh, JJ Liu and Terrence Chan are about along with Neil Arce and Grant Levy.

However it is the table of Chris Parker, Lee Nelson, Theo Tran, Vivek Rajkumar and Andrew Chen that is creating the most buzz at the moment.
