Doing It Dutch Style

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

The action started when Jesse McKenzie opened the pot to 350 from middle position. Dale Philip made the call from the button, along with Arjen Witteveen and Jonathan Karamlikis in the blinds.

Flop: {10-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

The action was checked to McKenzie who threw out 450. Philip made the call from the button and when play came back around to Arjen Witteveen, he would make the check-raise to 1,700. Karamalikis got out of the way and McKenzie opted to go with the raise to 4,150. Philip got out of the way and Witteveen made the call.

The turn would see both players check when the {6-Diamonds} landed on the felt. With the river came the {8-Clubs} and a bet of 5,500 from Witteveen. McKenzie quickly folded and sent the pot to Witteveen, as he turned over {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} to show the bluff.

"Nice hand mate," said McKenzie with a smile on his face as he watched the dutch player gather his new found chips.

Neilson Nuked

Play started over at Daniel Neilson's table with a limp from a middle position player and a raise to 600 from Artur Prokhorov in late position. Neilson made the call, along with the limper.

The flop showing {q-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} would see a check from the limping player, while Prokhorov would lead for 700. Neilson made the call and watched as {8-Hearts} came on the turn. Prokhorov again led, this time for 1,600. Neilson then raised to 4,500 and Prokhorov made the call.

The river landed with the {j-Clubs} and Prokhorov opted to check. Neilson then jammed his remaining 11,900 in the middle and Prokhorov made the call.

Neilson showed {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for a flush draw and inside-straight draw that didnt quite get there, while Prokhorov tabled {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

No Showdown For Grigg

We came to the action on Tom Grigg's table with a flop showing {3-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{j-Spades}. The first player to act opted to check and an opponent to his left led for 675. Grigg made the call and another jack would fall on the turn, with the {j-Clubs}.

This time the aggressor checked to Grigg and he threw out 2,150. A call would see the {5-Clubs} land on the felt.

Again Grigg's opponent checked, with Griig opting to make it 7,775 this time. After a few minutes his opponent made the fold and Grigg took down the pot.

King Philip's Set Too Good

We caught the action with Jesse McKenzie checking the {j-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop in a pot with Steven Smith and Dale Philip, who was next to act.

Philip raised to 900 and Smith made it 2,400 from the button. Philip then made it 5,500 at which point Smith announced he was all-in. Philip snap-called and the two players turned their hands over.

Philip: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Smith: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

Philip and Smith flopped what some players wait all day for, but with Philip's set of kings trumping the set of jacks for Smith, as the PokerStars.net Team Online Pro took down the pot.
