O'Grady Gets Away Cheap

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

We just caught the end of a pot that could've costed Michael O'Grady a lot more chips.

O'Grady was in the small blind when the board read {3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}. His opponent had put out a bet, and O'Grady check-raised to 8,000. His opponent called, and the river brought out the {J-Spades}.

Both players checked quickly, and O'Grady showed {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}. O'Grady must've thought he had the winning hand, but then he got shown {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}. The best, and second best starting hands in poker didn't get it all in, and that's how O'Grady still has a very healthy 27,000-chip stack.
