Wong Doubles First Hand of Final Table

Kenneth Wong
Kenneth Wong

On the first hand of the 2012 APPT Seoul Main Event final table, action folded to Kenneth Wong in the hijack seat and he raised all in for 113,000. In the small blind, Andrew Kim made the call.

Kim tabled the {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and was dominating the {J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} that Wong had shoved with. Needless to say, Wong picked the "Wong" time to shove and was in need of some help.

The flop gave him plenty of outs when the {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} fell. Wong now had a very live diamond draw with two cards to come.

The turn brought the {8-Clubs} and added some more outs for Wong. The river then completed the board with the {5-Diamonds} and Wong made his flush. He doubled back to 260,000 while Kim dropped to just over a half a million.

Rubianes Aggressive From The Small

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

When Rafael Rodrigo opened it up to 35,000 from middle position, the action was sent flying around to Vincent Rubianes in the small blind. He asked how much Rodrigo had and then looked to Jose Severino's stack in the big blind. Gathering the information he needed, Rubianes shoved all in. The players got out of the way Rubinaes took down the pot.

Endo Moving Up

Daisuke Endo has picked up a couple of early pots. The first winning hand saw Vincent Rubianes open it up from the button and Endo call in the big blind. The {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{j-Spades} flop was dealt and Endo led out for 42,000. The other players folded and Endo took it down.

The next hand Endo took down saw Rubianes again open it up, this time from the hijack. Endo was on the button and he three-bet to 102,000. The small blind was Taewook Kwon and he thought for some time before letting it. Rubianes sent his cards into the muck and Endo took down more chips.

From under the gun, Rafael Rodrigo raised to 32,000. Daisuke Endo made the call in the cutoff seat and action then moved to Moritz Ortmann in the small blind. Ortmann three-bet and made it 110,000 to go. Kenneth Wong folded the big blind and Rodrigo also tossed in his cards. Endo quickly called the reraise when action got back to him and the flop came down {10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades}.

On the flop, Ortmann bet 80,000. Endo made the call and the {J-Spades} landed on the turn. Ortmann moved all in for 442,000. Endo had approximatrly 600,000 behind and tanked. He eventually folded and Ortmann won the pot to move near 900,000 in chips.

Jose Severino
Jose Severino

After Andrew Kim raised to 38,000 from under the gun plus one, Jose Severino three-bet to 106,000 from middle position. Everyone folded back to Kim and he, too, gave it up.

On the next hand dealt, Severino opened to 35,000 from middle position and Taewook Kwon called out of the hijack seat. The dealer ran out the {A-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop and both players checked. The turn was the {3-Spades} and Severino bet 38,000. Kwon folded and Severino scooped his second hand in a row.

The First Million

A player has finally cracked a million chips. It all started when Vincent Rubianes opened it up from middle position. Taewook Kwon was on the button and he three-bet to 76,000. It was back on Rubianes and he threw in the four-bet, making it 68,000 more. Kwon didn't stop here though, five-betting another 110,000. Rubianes immediately announced he was all in and Kwon sent his cards into the muck.

With that nice little pot, Rubianes is the first man past one million chips.
