Welcome back to the Crown Poker Room in Melbourne, Australia for continued action from Season 7 of the Asia Pacific Poker Tour.
Today will see Day 2 of the APPT Melbourne Main Event kick off with 168 players still in contention to go all the way and claim the $217,000 first-place prize.
Leading the way with 163,100 in chips is Yanji Ge, while the likes of [Removed:17], Daniel Botta, Ryan Boswell, Dean Schneider and Mat Hawker aren't too far behind.
With so many players still alive and well including notable names like Joe Cabret, Jason Gray, Brendon Rubie, Jonathan Karamalikis, Daniel Neilson and Andrew Hinrichsen, the 2013 APPT Melbourne title is certainly anyone's for the taking.
All the action on Day 2 is set to kick off at 12.30pm local time and once again PokerNews will be here all day long bringing you live updates from the floor. Stay tuned!
Level: 8
Blinds: 500/1,000
Ante: 100
The players have scrambled into their seats, the bags have been broken open, the chips are out on the felt and the cards are in the air!
At this point it is uncertain how many levels will be played today, but we would venture a guess of somewhere around seven to nine levels. Oh, and by the way, levels are now 75 minutes level until the end of tournament as apposed to the 60 minute levels from Day 1.
Let's go!
It has just been announced by APPT President Danny McDonagh that we will be playing seven levels today, with a dinner break at 6.15pm AEST.
This morning Oliver Gill had aspirations of finishing as a potential chip lead at the end of the day after his comments via social media.
“Dean Schneider and [Removed:17] at my table today, feels like one of us should be chipleader by the end of the day.”
We missed the action but could overhear Oliver Gill explaining to Daniel Levy that he ran his into [Removed:17]’s on the third hand of the day to be eliminated.

The following players are no longer in their seats and so at the early stages of Day 2, we can surmise that they have been eliminated.

Former Crown Poker Room Tournament Director Jonno Pittock started the day as the shortest stack in the tournament, but now sits behind a respectable 30,000 in chips. We didn't catch the action, but apparently Pittock doubled up holding pocket queens and then doubled again pocket kings.

The hand started with Christopher Green opening to 2,200 from under the gun plus one. Dejan Boskovic was seated to his left, and raised it up to 4,800. Jason Gray made the call from the button as well as Green before the three saw the flop come down .
Green checked his option before Boskovic threw out a continuation bet of 6,800. Gray mucked instantly as Green went into the tank. After a minute he threw out a raise to 14,000 which was called moments later.
Both happily checked the on the turn before the completed the board. Another check from Green prompted Boskovic to bet out another 14,800 which was called.
Boskovic turned over his for a full house which saw Green tap the table, as his cards flew into the muck.
