Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Naoya Kihara -11th Place
Naoya Kihara -11th Place

Wow.

The two chip leaders, Aaron Lim and Naoya Kihara, have been clashing all day and have mostly traded chips back and forth. The following hand, however, saw Lim take the World Series of Poker bracelet winner for all he was worth.

The action opened with Lim sliding out a raise to 20,000 from the cutoff. It came around to Kihara's big blind and he three-bet to 56,000. Lim stayed the course.

The two took a flop of {3-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and Kihara continued out for 52,000. Lim flatted and the turn was the {2-Diamonds}. Kihara cut into his stack and came out with a bet of 122,000. Lim once again wasted little time moving out a call. The board finished off with the {2-Hearts}. Kihara counted his stack before announcing that he was all in for 402,000 total.

The crowd gathered as the two chip leaders went at it and the rail was at least three people deep around the entire table. Roughly one minute passed before:

"Why so much?" asked Lim. Kihara remained motionless, staring at one spot on the felt and never raising his eyes. Another minute passed.

"Alright," said Lim. "I call."

Kihara flipped up {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} for merely ace-high. Lim showed {A-Hearts}{10-Spades} for top-top and just like that the PokerStars Team Online member was eliminated from play. Lim absorbed his stack and catapulted himself into an astounding chip lead with 1.55 million.

Kihara made a quick exit from the tournament area and will be leaving with KRW 9,500,000 in prize money.

Kevin Petersen Eliminated in 12th Place (KRW 9,500,000)

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Kevin Petersen - 12th Place
Kevin Petersen - 12th Place

Nicky Tao Jin was in the cutoff and raised all in for his last 115,000. Kevin Petersen called out of the big blind and showed {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}. Jin was in need of help with his {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}.

The flop was kind to Jin as it brought {A-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, pairing his ace and giving him the lead in the hand. Fourth street brought the {8-Diamonds} and fifth saw the {4-Clubs} fall, leaving Jin's aces as the best hand. This hand left Petersen crippled at only 11,000.

The next hand saw Casey Kastle open to 25,000 from the cutoff and Petersen call all in for his last 10,000. Chane Kampanatsanyakakorn three-bet to 70,000 from the big blind and Kastle folded.

Kampanatsanyakakorn: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}
Petersen: {Q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

The board fell {Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{10-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Petersen was sent to the trail. He will collect KRW 9,500,000 in prize money.

One For Lim

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Aaron Lim made it 16,000 from under the gun and was called by Naoya Kihara from the small bind and Sung Soo Chon from the big.

The dealer fanned {K-Hearts}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds} on the felt and Chon checked. Lim checked behind and Kihara fired 26,000. Chon folded and Lim announced a check-raise to 77,000. Kihara let go and Lim was pushed the pot.

Miyanaga Doubles Through Lim

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Taku Miyanaga opened the action by announcing an all in bet from the cutoff. The button folded and Aaron Lim flat called. The big blind got out of the way and the hands were turned over.

Lim triumphantly tabled {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds} and was indeed ahead of Miyanaga's {A-Spades}{5-Spades}. The flop of {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Spades} looked to be quite safe for Lim although the {2-Spades} on the turn gave Miyanaga spade outs.

The {Q-Spades} drilled the river, sending a wave of relief over Miyanaga's face as he was able to make the nuts and double up. He's now sporting about 174,000 in chips while Lim has fallen to 700,000 and out of the chip lead.

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Sixiao "Juicy" Li was able to score a clutch double elimination by slaying both Hoang Anh Do and Lawrence Chung.

Li opened the action by raising to an unknown amount from under the gun. Do three-bet all in from the hijack for his last 47,000 and Chung re-shipped over the top for 68,000 total. Li called both players and the hands were tabled.

Li: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}
Do: {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Chung: {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}

Do was in the lead with his pocket eights but Li struck gold on the {5-Spades}{2-Hearts}{K-Clubs} flop, pairing her king and putting her in a dominating position. The {2-Clubs} hit the turn and the {J-Spades} hit the river, giving Li what was ultimately the best hand. She reduced the field by two and boosted her stack to about 360,000.
