Chung Doubles Through Osada

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Lawrence Chung was under the gun and announced all in for 40,000. Cards shot to the muck around the table until the action reached Masahiro Osada in the small blind. He called and the big blind got out of the way.

Chung showed {A-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and needed help against Osada's {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}. It seemed bleak for Chung on the {9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop and the {6-Clubs} turn. The river, however, ensured him a double as it brought the {A-Clubs}. Chung now sports about 105,000.

Takahisa Watanabe - 21st Place
Takahisa Watanabe - 21st Place

Takahisa Watanabe moved all in for his last 14,000 from under the gun and Jordan Westmorland called from the next seat over. The rest of the table folded and the hands were revealed.

Watanabe: {Q-Clubs}{2-Hearts}
Westmorland: {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}

A run out of {4-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{8-Hearts} ensured that Watanabe would be our 21st-place finisher. Westmorland now sits on about 68,000.

Rough Start For Watanabe

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Taku Miyanaga shipped all in for his last 69,000 from the cutoff. It folded to Takahisa Watanabe in the big blind who announced a call.

Miyanaga: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}
Watanabe: {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

The board ran out {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{J-Diamonds} and Miyanaga's ace-queen was able to hold as the best hand, doubling him to about 140,000.

The very next hand action came around to Hoang Anh Do who announced all in from the button for 53,000. Watanabe re-shipped all in over the top from the small blind and the big blind folded. Do rolled over {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} and was at risk against Watanabe's {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}.

Do took the lead on the {Q-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} flop and never released his grip on the hand as the {4-Clubs} turned and the {6-Diamonds} rivered. Do doubled to about 108,000 while Watanabe now sits on only 19,000.
