They See us Raising

Level 14 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Shing Fung Lo limped from the cutoff for 16,000 and Leo Yan Ho Cheng moved all in out of the small blind for 275,000. "Rono" tanked for about two minutes, stacked out the chips for a call to see how much he would have left, and eventually mucked his cards.

Yaxi Zhu min-raised from the cutoff but released her cards when Jack Hu squeezed to 125,000 out of the small blind.

Game Over for Lukashaugen

Level 14 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Tore Lukashaugen
Tore Lukashaugen

The eliminations keep flowing in quick succession and Tore Lukashaugen was the next to exit the tournament area. He three-bet shoved out of the small blind for what looked like 200,000 and initial raiser Marcus Lau snap-called for a reason:

Lukashaugen: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Lau: {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}

The Malaysian was already way ahead preflop and cemented the lead with the {6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{K-Hearts} flop. However, Lukashaugen had some hope with the {5-Spades} turn and picked up four outs on a gutshot straight draw. It was the {4-Spades} river that sent the Norwegian to the rail.

Lin Busts to Zhou

Level 14 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Celina Lin
Celina Lin

"Why can't I win a flip? At least it is better than busting with aces to kings," PokerStars Team Pro Celina Lin said after she was just being sent to the rail by Zhou Zhou. The latter had raised to 32,000 from the cutoff and Lin jammed for 131,000 out of the small blind with {A-Diamonds}{9-Spades}.

Zhou called with {K-Spades}{Q-Spades} and got there on a board of {4-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{7-Hearts}.

[VIDEO] Life After the Big Score: Scott Davies (Part 2)

Level 14 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

In October 2014, Scott Davies won the WSOP APAC Main Event for 850,136 Australian dollars (almost $737,907), and his life changed drastically. He was already a rounder, but now he could play just about anything he wanted, anywhere he wanted. We talk at length with Davies about the period after hitting the big score, the tournament that changed it all. Yesterday we released Part 1, here goes Part 2:

Hu Cracks Aces and Takes Lead

Level 14 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Jack Hu
Jack Hu

Zhou Zhou raised from the cutoff and Jack Hu called from one seat over before Zhidong Yang raised out of the small blind. Zhou got out of the way but Hu now jammed and was snap-called by Yang:

Hu: {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}
Yang: {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}

The {9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts} was already a nail-biter and sure enough the {8-Hearts} appeared right away on the turn to lock up the hand for Hu. To make things worse and rub it in even more, the dealer burned and turned the {A-Hearts} river that didn't help Yang anymore either.

Kelly Cracks Li's Queens

Level 14 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

The board was already complete, reading {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} when JP Kelly was paid off for 70,000 by Yuguang Li and flipped over his {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} for a rivered full house. Li shook his head and then tossed the now worthless {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades} into the muck.

Mooney and Lo On the Rail

Level 14 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

The pattern of the hands were very similar and both Geoffrey Mooney and Yik Hei Isaac Lo got it in on the flop after flat-calling a raise preflop.

Shashank Rathi was the initial raiser and check-raised all in after a flop of {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{3-Hearts} with {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} and Lo made the call with {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts} for a straight and flush draw. Neither the {3-Diamonds} turn nor the {9-Spades} river provided any help and Lo was gone.

Mooney check-raised all in out of the big blind on a jack-high flop with the {J-}{7-} at almost the same time while Zhou Zhou made the call with {A-}{J-} for the better kicker. Turn and river bricked and that was it for the Australian.

Zhang Busts to Jung

Level 13 : 6,000/12,000, 1,000 ante

Sunny Jung raised and Geoffrey Mooney called before Chengting Zhang moved all in for his last 35,000 chips. Both players called and checked down the {4-Spades}{K-Spades}{6-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} board. Zhang's {A-Clubs}{10-Spades} were identical to Mooney's {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} but Jung had that beat with {7-Clubs}{7-Spades} to score the knockout and reduce the field to its last three tables.

Hu and Zhou On the Way Up

Level 13 : 6,000/12,000, 1,000 ante

Chengting Zhang raised and then called the shove of Yuan Zhou for almost his entire stack with {A-Clubs}{K-Spades} to get shown {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} by the Canadian. The board ran out {4-Spades}{8-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Zhang was left with only three big blinds.

Jack Hu continued his early tear by playing hyper aggressive and just took off a small pot from Zhou Zhou in a battle of the blinds. Zhou had limped, Hu raised and was called to get through with a 40,000-continuation bet on the {10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} flop.
