Sweet Start for Lin

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Team PokerStars Pro Celina Lin has just taken down a very nice pot to bump her stack up to 28,000 in the early goings of the day. We caught the action only on the river when the board showed {2-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and two players checked to Lin who bet 3,700 from the button.

The player in the small blind called and the third player folded after which Lin tabled {A-Spades}{6-Spades}.

Lin's straight was good and she raked in this big pot right off the bat.

Bezzant Exit’s Early

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

We arrived at the table to spot New Zealand’s Haydn Bezzant raise to 450 from the hijack and find a call from the players in the cut off and big blind.

The flop came down {5-Clubs}{j-Spades}{a-Hearts} and the action checked to Bezzant who threw out a continuation bet totalling 600. The player in the cut off folded his hand and the big blind called.

After the {4-Clubs} fell on the turn, Bezzant was check called once again for a bet worth 1,200 before the {7-Clubs} completed the board.

This time the player in the big blind led out for 2,500 only to have Bezzant come back over the top with a bet worth 6,000. He was called shortly after but mucked his hand dropping down to just 1,725 in chips.

In the following hand the player under the gun opened to 450 before the player to his right raised to 1,500. Bezzant then moved all in for his remaining chips and both original raises called.

The action was checked down to the river on a {a-Hearts}{9-Spades}{6-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} board before the player under the gun plus one threw out 3,000 in chips. The bet was enough to get his opponent out of the hand, and once he showed his {a-Spades}{10-Spades} for a full house, Bezzant was sent to the rail.

Another Fresh Face on Team PokerStars Pro

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante
Kosei Ichinose
Kosei Ichinose

Team PokerStars Pro Kosei Ichinose joined the team back in January of this year, just like Aditya Agarawal who played yesterday, and today the Japanese star makes his patched up debut in Seoul. Ichinose however is absolutely no rookie to the game, as his list of results is quite impressive.

Ichinose became Japan's first Supernova Elite under the handle 'Shinhunshi' and a has been a fierce competitor both live and online for many years. With over $1.7 million in online cashes on PokerStars Ichinose has made quite a name for himself, and live his biggest result to date came last year at this very event when he won the High Roller event for $46,918.

This year Ichinose has played the Aussie Millions and Macau Poker Cup and he looks to really make his mark on the live tournament circuit this year.

Lee Wins Big

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

The action started with James Lee raising to 600 from under the gun plus one and getting called by the player in middle position as well as Iori Yogo and Narutoshi Otsuka in the cut off and big blind respectively.

After the flop came down {9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{9-Hearts} Otsuka reached for his chips and led out for 3,500 and was called by Lee and Yogo. The {9-Clubs} on the turn saw Otsuka slow down, checking his option. Lee then reached for his chips and splashed out 5,000 in chips forcing Yogo to snap fold. Otsuka contemplated his decision for a moment but opted to fold instead.

Lee moves up to 39,000 following the hand.

Smooth Sailing For Chong

Level 3 : 150/300, 0 ante

We arrived at the table with the flop spread out {3-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Spades}. Victor Chong and Mike Kim checked from the big blind and under the gun as did their two opponents in the middle and cut off positions.

The turn brought the {9-Diamonds} and the decision fell on the player in middle position who bet out 1,200 and was called by the player to his left as well as Chong.

Three sets of checks followed before Chong tabled his {9-Hearts}{9-Spades} for a full house, much to the surprise of his opponent and the others at the table.

Chong moves up to 27,000 in chips following the hand.

ACOP Champion Le Jossec Eliminated

Gabriel Le Jossec
Gabriel Le Jossec

Last November it was Canadian pro Gabriel Le Jossec who took down the Asia Championship of Poker Main Event in Macau for a total of $812,361, but he won't add another title to his resume here in Seoul just yet.

"You can't win'em all," Le Jossec sighed, as he got up from his seat to exit the tournament room.

We caught the end of his final hand, which was a big one, that went as following. After a series of raises Le Jossec ended up all in before the flop for right around 22,000 chips against Daniel Kneafsey.

Kneafsey: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}
Le Jossec: {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}{J-Spades}{8-Clubs}{A-Hearts} and the ace on the river sent Le Jossec to the rail. Kneafsey's up to more than twice the starting stack and he's looking good early on.
