Level 29 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Thomas Ward has quickly overtaken the chip lead with a series of raises, forcing Zhou Zhou to fold almost every time. Examples:

Super High Roller Update: Down to 16

Level 29 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Luckbox Juanda
Luckbox Juanda

The Super High Roller tournament is down to two tables of eight players.

Steve O'Dwyer is clear chip leader with 4,850,000. Anton Astapau is in second with 3,000,000 and Pratyush Buddiga is in third with 2,100,000.

A crazy hand happened a short while ago and featured Mustapha Kanit and John Juanda. The chips went in on a flop containing two deuces and Kanit opened the other two for flopped quads. Juanda was all but out with pocket sixes but the turn and river came six-six to double him up with quads over quads.

Level 29 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Nan Tu - 3rd
Nan Tu - 3rd

Nan Tu was had a roller coaster day and was finally eliminated in 3rd place by Thomas Ward.

Tu raised on the button to 120,000 and Ward called. The flop was {a-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades} and Ward checked. Tu bet 75,000 and Ward shoved all in. Tu snap called.

Tu had {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for two pair and Ward had an open-ended straight draw {4-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. Similar to the hand where Ward busted Hsien Yuan Yang, where Yang had a set against the straight draw of Ward. Ward made his straight on that hand and he rivered the straight on this hand also when the board completed {9-Spades}{8-Spades}, giving Ward the straight and eliminating Tu in 3rd place.

Level 28 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

And then there were three.

Hsien Yuan Yang raised to 125,000 from the button and Thomas Ward peeled from the big blind to see a {k-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop fall down.

Yang continued for 125,000 and called all in for 850,000 after Ward check-raise shoved.

Yang: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts} for top set.
Ward: {4-Hearts}{5-Clubs} for an open-ended straight draw.

The turn came the {8-Clubs} to make Ward's straight and Yang busted after the {a-Spades} river failed to fill him up.

Kitty Kuo is railing the final table and she shouted at Ward, "Thomas! You be nice to Chinese people. Know you side!"
