Kwok Doubles; Mykhatso Doesn't

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Kwan Kit Kwok finally got his double with the {10-Hearts}{7-Spades} against Thanh Ha Duong's {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades} after spiking the {10-Diamonds} on the flop. The defending champion of the APPT Manila still has almost double the average though. Kwok then shoved for 44,300 from under the gun and was called by Shih Ciao Wang in the small blind with {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}. The {6-Clubs}{6-Spades} held on a board of {A-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}.

And then, Dominic Mykhatso three-bet shoved into a raise for what looked like 75,000 and Bryan Oliver reraised all in from one seat over. The Canadian tabled the {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} and Oliver had that beat with {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}. The board ran out {J-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades}{K-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and the board was reduced to 76 players with 72 spots paid.

The Mad Norwegian Strikes Again

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Svein-Jorgen Kristensen
Svein-Jorgen Kristensen

Svein Jorgen Kristensen called a min-raise from the small blind going three-handed to a {k-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop.

He checked, Seonghwan Ahn led for 8,500 and Jiaxing Wang bumped it to 17,000. Kristensen then pulled the three-bet check-raise out of his bag of tricks, making it a whopping 150,000.

After a minute or two in the tank, Ahn angrily slammed the rest of his stack on the felt across the line, which amounted to just a few thousand more. Wang folded and Kristensen called.

"I have a three," he said, showing {10-Clubs}{3-Clubs}.

Anh had {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} and was drawing pretty thin, busting after the {5-Diamonds} turn and {a-Clubs} river made him two pair.

The swingy Kristensen had fallen below 300,000 recently, but busting Anh has him pushing 400,000 now as the money bubble looms.

"Now You Have 25"

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Kwan Kit Kwok was all in for his last 23,000 chips, pretty much where he started the day. "Give me king" he said the dealer while being ahead with his {A-Spades}{K-Hearts} against the {A-Hearts}{J-Spades} of Thomas Lee. The Canadian however got a split pot on the {2-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades} board and another player on the table joked "now you got 25."

End of Story for Huang

Bryan Huang
Bryan Huang

In a battle of the blinds, PokerStars Team Pro Bryan Huang got the remainder of his 25 big blind stack in preflop out of the big blind with the {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}. Terry Gonzaga made the call with {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and both players shook hands after a flop of {J-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}. Technically it was not over yet, but the {9-Diamonds} turn locked up the hand for Gonzaga and made the {6-Diamonds} river meaningless.

Michael's Grind Ends

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Perry Michael was greeted with a "you did well" by the table mates as the Australian had grinded a short stack for quite some time. Now he got the last 70,000 in preflop with the {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds} and faced the {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades} of Jessie Leonarez. There were three diamonds on the board but no further help for the Aussie.

Galasen Gone; Wang Joins Leaders

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Rolf Galasen
Rolf Galasen

When Chinese Taipei player Shih Ciao Wang bet 16,000 into a {3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop, Norwegian Rolf Galasen responded with a raise, making it 20,000 more.

Wang formed a triangle with his hands, announcing he was all in and Galasen tossed in a single chip, indicating he was making the call for his tournament life. Galasen had {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}, but Wang's {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades} was best, holding on a {10-Clubs} turn and {9-Hearts} river.

As Galasen hit the rail, Wang moved up to a spot near the top of the counts.

Olsson Gets All of Ng

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Sam Ng
Sam Ng

The wild ride of Sam Ng has come to an end, he just knocked out Sam Ng. The latter had previously tried to bluff the Swede on a {4-}{4-}{4-}{Q-}{2-} board with the {A-}{3-} but his big bet was called by Olsson with {K-}{Q-}. And just now Ng was at it again, all in for his last 25 big blinds preflop with the {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}.

Olsson looked him up with the {J-Spades}{J-Clubs} and the board ran out {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}.

Another bigger stack on that table is Iona Christopher Finkenrath in seat one.

Chua Gets There Too

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Apparently you have to stand up when facing your tournament life or pretty much of it and then you get the one over card in order to win the pot. Andrei Dementev did so successfully and Ying Lin Chua used the same trick to bust Harold Neal Ruaya in a preflop all in situation with {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades} versus {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}.

Again the dealer provided the necessary help on the river of a {3-Hearts}{3-Spades}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{A-Spades} board.
