Another Magic River for Changyang Liu

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

If there was a doubt if Changyang Liu is over 200,000 after the previous post, then now he has definitely done it.

In a battle of High Rollers, Xinglong Huang shoved his last 27,000 from early position, only for Liu to call from the small blind. Huang was in a great spot to double up, having {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}, while Liu was dominated with {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}.

The board ran out {3-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{k-Spades} and Liu found in the river one of the three outs he was after! Meanwhile, Huang lost for the second time today and will have to wait until tomorrow if he wants to try and advance into Day 2 of the Main Event.

Jiang and Liu Chipping Up

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Kun Jiang has found a nice run of cards and is now up to 125,000 chips. In a recent pot he busted a player, with his opponent shoving in a board of {6-Spades}{5-Spades}{9-Spades}{6-Clubs} with {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} for 15,000, while Jiang called with {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for trips.

The river was the {9-Diamonds} and Jiang eliminated his opponent with a full house.

Meanwhile, Changyang Liu is winning pots all day long, and now is closing to 200,000 in chips. He is on his way to have two out of two chip leads in Day 1's of both events he played.

The European Table

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

There are only two players from Europe in the event and they are both in the same table. Alexander Braeunig from Germany and Ian Cordts for Ireland are working their way through the field from the same table.

Braeunig is in a better shape with 55,000 in chips, while Cordts is in need of help with 23,000 in chips.

Registration Closed

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The previous break was the last chance for the players to enter or re-enter in the Main Event. The registration is closed for Day 1a and the official number of entries for today is 127.

Right now there are 67 players left in the tables.

Kun Jiang Loses Some

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Kun Jiang has already made his re-entry for today, and was just spotted losing an all in pot. A player from under the gun open-shoved for 9,500 and Jiang called from the button. The blinds folded and the two players opened their cards.

Kun Jiang: {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
UTG: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}

The flop was a disaster for Jiang, with the {a-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} giving a huge advantage to his opponent. The {j-Spades} on the turn gave him a double gutshot but the {k-Clubs} on the river wasn't one of the outs he was looking for.

Still, he has a healthy stack of 65,000 in chips.
