Day 1a Completed
Day 1a of the 2019 PokerStars Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) Jeju ₩2,500,000 (~$2,160) Main Event is in the books, and there is a familiar face in the leading position of the day's chip counts. Tae Hoon Han is a player with a lot of success in Korean territory, as 17 of his 23 lifetime cashes, came here in South Korea.
Especially Jeju, must have a special place in Han's heart, as here he achieved his biggest career cash so far, when he came third in Red Dragon Main Event in December 2018, for $92,391. This time he had a great performance from the very first moment he played this tournament, as he was only going up in the chip counts. He bagged 296,500 chips by winning a big pot near the end of the day, where he saw luck turning its back to him, but things turned in his favor in just one street. He was all in with ace-king versus his opponent's ace-queen, with a queen appearing on the flop, but a king on the turn gave him back the lead in the hand, and the pot by the river.
The first of the three starting flights saw 127 entries in total, with 115 unique players and just 30 of them managed to advance to Day 2.
Some other stacks above 200K chips include 2019 APPT Jeju High Roller third place finisher Changyang Liu (265,000), China's Xiaojie Lu (271,000), and Japan's Jun Obara (208,000). Other notables that are still in the field include Xingbiao Zhu, Kun Jiang, Quan Zhou, and Wei Zheng.
There are still two flights remaining for those who didn't manage to advance to Day 2, and they are both going to take place tomorrow, Tuesday 25 June. Day 1b will start at 12:00 p.m (GMT+9) and a turbo Day 1c will start at 7:00 p.m. (GMT+9).
Players will be returning on the second day in Wednesday 26 June, with the blind level starting at level 14 and all levels will be 60-minutes in length.

If there is one thing you learn when playing poker, then this is to never celebrate early. This counts for any kind of game or sport in the world, but in poker it is really important to wait until the river comes.
This is exactly what happened with a player, who was all in with versus Tae Hoon Han's . At first he expressed his disappointment when he saw his opponent's hand, but then he pumped his fist in the air yelling "Yes!", when the flop came .
However, he didn't even have to wait until the river to get disappointed again, as the gave the advantage back to Han. The completed the board in the river, sending him in the rail, while Tae Hoon Han is getting close to 300,000!

The 2019 PokerStars Asia Pacific Poker Tour Jeju National event is over and Liang Song is the player who managed to collect all the event's chips in front of him. He had a dominant performance during Day 2, which he showed by entering the final table with a commanding chip lead, and ended heads-up in just one hand!
This was the second biggest cash in Liang Song's career, with a very small difference from the first one. And the amazing thing is that they both came here, in Jeju! In December 2018 Song came 4th in Event #16 of that year's Red Dragon event. He won $51,596, and this time he might won less than this, but at least he took home the winner's trophy, which is what counts more in poker.
