The tournament with the most anticipation of the 2019 PokerStars Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) Korea is slated to begin at 6 p.m. local time and that tournament is the ₩1,800,000 APPT Main Event ($1,580). The defending champion is well-known pro Michael Soyza who took down a field of 449 entries for a first place prize of ₩158,700,000 ($148,629).

Last years total of 449 is looked to be easily surpassed with the sudden boom of poker over the Asia Pacific as of late. Many pros will be here to take a stab at the main event including PokerStars Ambassador Celina Lin, Randy Lew, Danny Tang, Dong Chen, and Soyza has said that he will be joining the mix as soon as he finishes in the ₩10,000,000 APPT Super High Roller.

The main event has ₩300,000,000 guarantee that should be met without ease as each player can re-enter once per day. All players will have a starting stack of 30,000 and will play a total of 13, 40-minute levels on both Day 1's. There will be a 10-minute break after every three levels and players will have until the start of level 10 to late register or re-enter. Anyone who makes it until the end of level 13 will bag up and move onto Day 2, where the blinds will switch to 60-minutes. The tournament will be played with the new and popular Big Blind Ante format, in an all-in situation the Big Blind will be posted prior to the Ante.
