2019 Korea APPT Series Summary

There has been a total of six events that have reached completion thus far in the 2019 APPT Korea. The first tournament saw Igor Kim of Uzbekistan as the last man standing of the 93 total entries, pulling in ₩4,384,000 ($3,849) for his victory in Event #1: KRW 200,000 NL Hold'em - Re-Entry.

Event #2: APPT Kickoff NL Hold'em - Play to ITM - Re-Entry had an outstanding 420 registration slips sold, accumulating a total prizepool of ₩128,331,000. It would be China's Xing Biao Zhu taking down the second event for a healthy pay day of ₩21,290,000 ($18,691).

Event #3: KRW 350,000 NL Hold'em - Freezeout would come just short of the three digit mark, grabbing 99 runners for the first Freezout of the series. When the dust had settle it was Yan Li of China taking down the tournament for a respectable ₩8,032,000 ($7,052).

The fourth tournament to play until completion thus far in the series was Event #4: KRW 1,000,000 PL Omaha - Re-Entry. The only event of the series where players would have more than two cards in their hands had 29 show up to battle it out. When the last chance saloon had closed for business it was Japan's Osamu Hori securing a first place finish for ₩8,443,000 ($7,412).

The final table of Event #5: APPT National NL Hold'em - Single Re-Entry - KRW 80,000,000 Guarantee is currently playing and the eventual winner of the tournament will be adding a cash ₩44,950,000 ($39,463) to their resume.

Event #6: KRW 250,000 NL Hold'em - Re-Entry had a total of 92 entry slips sold, which resulted in a prizepool ₩20,079,000. The ₩5,421,000 ($4,759) first place prize would be awarded to Xinglong Huang of China.

Event #7: KRW 800,000 NL Hold'em Deepstack - Freezeout is the latest tournament to reach completion. There were 114 runners for the second Freezeout event of the series, generating a prizepool of ₩79,617,600. China's Lei Yu took down the event for ₩18,817,000 ($16,592).

Event #8: KRW 1,000,000 NL Hold'em - Short Deck - Re-Entry started with seven players for Day 2, and is now down to just five, well-known pro Randy Lew is still in the mix. All five remaining are now guaranteed at least a cash of ₩4,331,000, with the eventual winner will be scooping in ₩17,862,000 ($15,682).
