Peng Starts to Climb Back Up Through Otani

Level 4 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

The board showed {9-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and there was around 65,000 in the pot. Dongsheng Peng chucked in a bet of 34,000 and Norihiro Otani thought for a moment before he would eventually call.

Peng tabled {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for two pair and Otani laughed as he sent his cards into the muck, shipping a much needed pot to Peng.

Peng Pushes Hong Off the Pot

Level 4 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Dongsheng Peng raised to 5,500 from the cutoff, Nan Hong in the small blind was the only caller and the dealer spread out {q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{a-Clubs} on the flop.

Action checked to Peng, he bet 7,000, Hong check-called and the {7-Diamonds} landed as the felt as a turn card. Hong checked to Peng who threw in 12,000 and again Peng check-called.

A {2-Spades} fell on the river, Hong checked to Peng who fired in 54,000 and Hong's cards instantly hit the muck, sending another pot to Peng.

Two Barrels Work for Lew

Level 4 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Hideki Izutsu, on his second entry for the day, made it 6,000 to go first to act and Randy Lew three-bet to 19,000 in late position. Izutsu made the call and checked the {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop, then called a bet of 13,500. Izutsu also checked the {3-Hearts} turn and Lew's second barrel of 41,000 did the trick to force a fold.

Soyza Loses Heaps

Level 5 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

With some 125,000 in the middle and the completed board showing {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{2-Hearts}, Xiaqing Ji had moved all in for 122,000 and Michael Soyza asked for a count before tossing in the call without using a timebank extension. Ji turned over {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for the flopped flush and Soyza mucked {q-}{10-} for the turned straight to lose a big portion of his stack.
