Back in March, Uri Gilboa became Israel's first European Poker Tour Main Event champion after winning the EPT Sochi Main Event for ₽27,475,000 (~$420,000). We've seen Gilboa in action in the APPT National, and he will be hoping for a deep run in the APPT Manila Main Event.
He's taken his seat in the field at the same table as fellow Israeli player Eran Shaham.

Day 1b of the Main Event just started, with cards in the air for the first hand.
Day 1a of the ₱65,000 Main Event concluded on Thursday night and it was 101 players that advanced through the total field of 403 entries. The ₱20M guaranteed prize pool of the Main Event has been already smashed in the first flight, and the only question now is how high it can go.
After 13 levels of play in Day 1a, it was Jingzhi Wang who held the chip lead with almost half a million chips. All the players that didn't make it yesterday, and some who will fire a bullet for the first time today, will have the option of a single re-entry during the first nine levels that registration will be open.
Day 1b is scheduled to start at 3:00 p.m. local time, and today's play will have again 13 levels, after which the final field of Day 2 will be known.
Here are the levels for today:
