Kim Rising

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante
Gab Yong Kim
Gab Yong Kim

Gab Yong Kim is back today for Day 1b after busting his two bullets during Day 1a.

Today, he is on the winning side so far, as he has already doubled the starting stack. In one of his crucial hands, he three-bet preflop to 2,600 chips from the big blind, after a hijack raise to 500, and calls from the cutoff and the button.

Only the cutoff player followed him on the flop, which came {7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}, with Kim betting 4,500 to get called again.

The {j-Spades} hit the turn, and Kim check-called this time a bet at 5,000 from his opponent.

The {5-Clubs} completed the board on the river, and both players checked. Kim opened {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts} which was enough to scoop the pot as the other player mucked.

Middle Pair Good for Pham

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Three players saw a flop of {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs}. The small blind checked, as did Uri Gilboa out of the big blind, and Huy Pham checked in position.

The turn was the {9-Clubs} and the small blind bet 1,600, getting two callers.

The river was the {7-Clubs}. It checked to Pham who bet 4,300. The small blind quickly folded and Gilboa quickly called.

Pham showed {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for just a pair of tens and took down the pot.

No Break for Osabe

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

Level 4 just started, but Ryoji Osabe didn't have much time to enjoy the break. He lost almost half of it, because of playing a hand.

At least the outcome was good for him, so he lost the biggest part of the break for a good cause.

He was found on the river with the board showing {3-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{k-Spades} and he was all in. His opponent was covered and decided to call for his life, but saw the bad news when Osabe opened {2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for trips.

Osabe hasn't returned to his seat after the break, probably he deserves some more time off.

Villa and Xu Bust One Together

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

A big three-way all-in occurred in a table where Hernan Villa and Qi Xu held the same hand, {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} and {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}, respectively.

They were up against a player who was holding {10-Spades}{8-Hearts}, and who was all in for approximately 32,000 chips. The flop came {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, giving some more outs to the all-in player.

The {a-Clubs} on the turn gave a bigger lead to Villa and Xu, with Villa now having the opportunity to win the pot with a fourth club on the river.

The {q-Hearts} was the card that completed the board, causing the bust-out of a player while the two others chopped it up.
