Pansier Doubles; Sasahara Triples

In the last hand of the level, Riku Sasahara open-jammed with the big blind soon approaching. It folded to Nino Pansier in the big blind and he called with even fewer chips.

The superior pair held on the K♣3♣3♦2♦2♠ board and Sasahara was left with fumes.

On new blinds and under the gun, Sasahara jammed for 515,000 from under the gun. Yuanning Wu on the button and Christopher Mateo in the big blind called.

Mateo checked the A♠10♠9♣ flop and Wu bet 200,000. Mateo instantly moved all-in and Wu let go.

Sasahara rubbed his hands and asked for a seven, which he received with the 7♦ turn. The Japanese celebrated already and then did so again on the 5♠ turn when his triple-up was confirmed.

Pansier Cannot Get Tech to Fold

Nino Pansier made it 320,000 to go and John Tech was the only caller in the big blind. On a flop of J♥5♠4♦, Tech checked and subsequently called a bet worth 220,000.

Both checked the 5♣ turn and Tech checked the A♥ river. Pansier announced a bet of six sixty and put in the required 660,000.

Tech went into the tank by using one time bank and called with the 4♣2♣, which was good as Pansier had bluffed with the K♣8♣.

Two Jams and No Call

Gyuhyuk Lee raised to 450,000 out of the small blind and folded when John Tech jammed out of the big blind.

Soon after, Nino Pansier had gone through the big blind and was in the small blind next. His open-shove sent Christopher Mateo into the tank as he asked for an exact count. The all-in was for 2,820,000 and Mateo used two time bank extensions, then folded and exposed the A♦.

Wu Gets the Best of Pansier Once More

Picking up the action on the A♦J♣9♣8♥ turn, Yuanning Wu check-raised to 750,000 and Nino Pansier called. That brought them to the A♥ river on which Wu bet 1,100,000, forcing a snap-fold from Pansier.

Mateo Jams Into Lee

Christopher Mateo opened to 325,000 in the cutoff and Gyuhyuk Lee three-bet to 800,000 out of the small blind for Mateo to call. The Q♠5♠5♣ flop saw Lee continue for 300,000 and Mateo wasted little time before moving all-in, forcing a fold from Lee.

Pansier "Value-Bets" Against Wu

Yuanning Wu limped the small blind and Nino Pansier checked his option to the A♦Q♦5♦ flop. Wu bet 175,000 to earn a call before betting another 250,000 on the 4♦ turn, earning another call from Pansier.

On the 5♥ river, Wu opted to check and Pansier verbally declared "one fifty" before cutting out and moving forward 1,050,000.

The floor was called and it was ruled as a min-bet, which Wu called.

Pansier rolled over just the Q♠4♥ but it won the pot.

"Good value bet," Pansier grinned as he raked in the pot ... .

Pansier Wins Some Back; Doubles Mateo After

Nino Pansier defended the big blind and check-called once against Gyuhyuk Lee before leading the A♥J♠7♦Q♣2♠ river for 350,000. Lee called and mucked when he was shown the K♥Q♦.

Pansier then inquired about the stack size of Christopher Mateo in the big blind, who was the shortest stack at the table. It was folded to Pansier and he moved all-in, Mateo snap-called.

Yuanning Wu three-bet to 1,150,000 out of the big blind and Pansier used one time bank before moving all-in with the largest stack of the trio. Tech instantly folded while Wu burned through two time banks and called.

The J♥10♠7♠ flop improved Wu to a set while Pansier had a gutshot and back door spades. On the 8♣ turn, Pansier picked up four outs to a chop but the 5♠ river ensured the double of Wu for 5,030,000.
