Ashish Ghosh raised and was called by Leonard Cheong. Hui Zhang then squeezed to 6,300 in the small blind and Ghosh was the only caller. The flop came A♦9♦2♥ and Zhang continued for 4,200. Ghosh then raised top 12,400 and Zhang reluctantly folded.

With a rather small pot brewing to the 7♠5♥5♦ flop, William Teoh raised it up to 10,000. Florencio Campomanes then went over the top with a reraise to 22,700 and Teoh reluctantly called all-in.

While Campomanes stacked the chips, he grinned and said "that's Asia".
Within quick succession, several players from Japan were sent to the rail. Among them was Satoshi Sugimoto, who got it in preflop with A♠K♥ against the A♥A♣ of Ilia Drobin.
There was no miracle on the 7♦4♠2♦J♥9♥ runout and Drobin neared seven figures after the hand.
Vincent Ferrafiat needed a second barrel worth 5,200 on the A♥A♣8♣Q♠J♦ river when he was up against Wilson Luong. The latter had called a turn bet but folded reluctantly thereafter.
