Zaicik Gets Lucky

Alan Sass just raised to 13,500 and he was called by four player, among which both blinds. The flop came down {8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{6-Hearts} and Jacques Zaicik moved all in for 29,500 from the small blind. Mike Watson folded from the big blind and Sass made the call. Henry Wang folded as well, and Zaicik was looking for a lot of help when the cards were turned over.

Alan Sass: {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}
Jacques Zaicik: {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}

The board ran out {7-Spades}, {5-Spades} and Zaicik hit his flush. The Frenchman took his jacket off and sat back down since he's back up to 18 big blinds.

Lim Spikes a Double

From the hijack seat, Aaron Lim raised all in for 102,500. Paolo Compagno made the call from the big blind holding the {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}. Lim held a dominated {A-Clubs}{8-Hearts}.

The flop, turn and river ran out {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}, and Lim doubled through. Compagno was left with 123,000 in chips.

Small Blind vs. Big Blind

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Action folded to Andrew Hinrichsen in the small blind, and he limped in. Tom Alner checked his option in the big blind, and the dealer ran out the {J-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} flop. Hinrichsen bet 8,000, and Alner made the call.

The turn was the {J-Diamonds} to pair the board. Hinrichsen checked, and Alner bet 24,000. Hinrichsen gave it up.

Zhongwei Wang Eliminated in 18th Place (HKD$216,000)

Zhongwei Wang was just very unlucky against Andrew Hinrichsen who shattered his dreams by hitting the {6-Hearts} on the turn. We caught the action on the {K-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} when Hinrichsen moved all in. Wang had 20,000 chips out in front of him, and he quickly made the call.

Andrew Hinrichsen: {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Zhongwei Wang: {K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

Hinrichsen was looking for runner-runner straight cards, or one of the two remaining sixes. The {6-Hearts} on the turn was one of those, and now Hinrichsen was looking to dodge a diamond. The {3-Clubs} popped up on the river, and Wang looked devastated as the stacks were counted down. Wang had 160,000 and was covered by Hinrichsen's 182,000-chip stack. Just 17 players remain.

Three-Bet from Toma

The start of the day was very exciting, but things have cooled off very much since. There's hasn't been much action lately, and the players seem to have settled into their roles and are looking for that final table berth.

On this hand, Team PokerStars Pro Raymond Wu raised to 12,000 from middle position, and Gary Lam made the call on the button. Tsugunari Toma reraised to 44,000 from the big blind, and both Wu and Lam folded.

Two Pair for Huynh

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Tri Huynh check-called a bet of 20,000 from Andrew Gaw on the {J-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop before seeing the {J-Diamonds} pair the board on the turn. Here, both players checked, and the dealer placed the {A-Spades} out on fifth street. Huynh checked, and Gaw bet 25,000. Huynh called.

Gaw showed the {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} for king-queen high. Huynh had two pair with his {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, and he won the pot.
