Just level three and the antes have kicked in. No doubt the aggression levels will ramp up a notch as each pot is inflated.
Paul Newey was involved in a hand just now from the button in a three way pot as the flop showed . Newey check-called a bet of 1,500 with the aggressive Russian player Anatoly Filatov folding the big blind. The turn card saw Newey bet 4,300 when it was then checked to him and he took the chips in the middle.
Newey is just above starting stack but Filatov has dropped a little. On another table we spotted Byron Kaverman who has got off to a good start.
Billy “The Croc” Argyros has just bought in too, no doubt hoping to improve on his position last year where he made the final table.

Action folded around to the player on the button who raised the action to 650. Mike "Timex" McDonald was in the small blind and he cut out a three-bet to 2,800. It was then on Philipp Gruissem in the big blind and he announced a four-bet to what looked to be 5,500. The original raiser and McDonald came back over the top with a five-bet ship.
Gruissem quickly ditched his cards and McDonald was awarded the pot before the flop. With this victory, McDonald's stack has increased to about 42,000.

We recently found Steve O'Dwyer, who just yesterday won the 2014 ACOP MBP Super High Roller for $1,811,638, pulling in a pot at his table.
Four players including O'Dwyer looked down at a board of . The small blind and a second player checked, prompting O'Dwyer to fire 1,500. The player on the button folded and the two players to check called. The river was the and all three players checked. The small blind showed for ace-high, prompting a muck from the second player. O'Dwyer had that beat, however, showing down for eights and sevens. He was awarded the pot and is now climbing back toward starting stack with about 28,000 to his name.

Davidi Kitai seems intent on moving some chips around. Kitai had just three-bet an opener and got a fold when he played this hand against Shashank Rathi.
Rathi opened for 525 and Kitai three-bet him to 1,750. The blinds folded and Rathi decided to put out a call. It was heads up to a flop of and Rathi check-called a 1,750 bet from Kitai after some thought to see the turn bring the . Rathi checked again and called a 5,500 bet from Kitai.
The river saw the complete the board and Rathi changed tack opting to lead out for 5,500. Kitai’s sunglasses were off as he studied the board and his man before putting out the call. Kitai turned over as Rathi’s cards slid towards the muck.
Kitai went on to open the next hand but folded to a raise and a call.
