Tureniec Fills Up to Bust Ivanov

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

We arrived to see Kristiyan Ivanov and Michael Tureniec heads up with the board reading {Q-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{10-Hearts}. Tureniec fired a bet on the turn and Ivaonv replied by shipping all in over the top for about 60,000 total. Tureniec called and the hands were tabled.

Tureniec: {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Ivanov: {j-Hearts}{4-Hearts}

Ivanov was in the lead with his turned heart flush, but that all changed in an instant as the {A-Hearts} finished off the board on the river and gave Tureniec a full house. Tureniec's aces full of tens did the job and sent Ivanov to the rail.

Pot For Cautious Sbrzesny

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Bodo Sbrzesny check-called a bet of 14,000 from Jorn Walthaus on the flop of {q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and there was to be no more action as the turn {2-Diamonds} and river {5-Diamonds} brought the delicious possibility of a straight flush. No one had it but Sbrzesny’s {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades} flush was good enough to take the chips in the middle.

Troyanovskiy Calls It Wrong From Jung

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Sunny Jung checked the flop of {k-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and Vladimir Troyanovskiy bet 6,500. Sunny made the call and they both checked the turn card {5-Spades}.

The river was the {9-Clubs} and Jung led out for 23,500. Troyanovskiy didn’t look delighted but made the call, mucking his hand in annoyance when he saw Jung’s {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}.

Danchev Doubles Through Colman

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Buyanjargal Bold opened the betting for 4,000 before Daniel Colman raised to 16,500. Dimitar Danchev moved all in for just under 70,000 and when everyone else got out of the was Colman made the call.

Colman had {7-Hearts}{7-Spades} and Danchev the {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}. Danchev was rising from his chair as the flop {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{6-Spades} hit but the turn {j-Hearts} and finally river {a-Diamonds} eventually turned the tide and he sat back down to a double up.

Argyros Crippled, Douglas Doubles

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

We arrived in time to see a crowd of players gathering around Table 17. David Douglas was all in for his last 75,000 and action was on Billy Argyros. After a few moments of pondering, Argyros asked someone at the table for a coin, remarking that he would call the all in if a coin flip resulted in tails.

Argyros flipped the coin and then quickly realized the coin from Macau had symbols that did not represent heads or tails, thus rendering his earlier statement irrelevant. In the end, however, he opted to call only to find that his hand was crushed.

Argyros: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Douglas: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}

The board ran out clean as it fell {5-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}, allowing Douglas to score the double. Argyros, on the other hand, was left crippled with just around 4,000.

Bold Busted

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

On a flop of {7-Spades}{2-Spades}{j-Diamonds} Dimitar Danchev bet 21,000 and faced a raise to 51,000 from Buyanjargal Bold. Danchev made the call making a pot of over 100,000. Neither of them had a pot sized bet left and Bold’s food had just been delivered.

The turn card was the {4-Hearts} and Danchev moved all in. Bold took his time as his tournament life was on the line but in the end he did make the call with {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}. There were gasps as Danchev turned over {10-Spades}{9-Spades} needing to hit a spade for his flush.

The river card {4-Spades} gave Danchev his hand and Bold was left with his fresh meal but no chips and no reward from the tournament.
