We'll Go With First Names For This One

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

With a flop reading {6-Spades}{4-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, the player in the small blind checked his option. Jay Tan also checked from the big blind, before Darian Tan bumped it up to 750 from under the gun.

Jay would only call, as both saw the turn fall the {j-Hearts}. Both checked as the {5-Hearts} completed the board. Jay reached for her chips, and bet out 1,500. Darian didn’t hesitate in raising it up to 3,350 straight away, which was called off shortly after.

Darian tabled his {10-Clubs}{10-Spades} but it was no good against Jay’s {7-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} which had made a flush.

The hand started with the player in middle position limping into the pot, before Celina Lin bumped it up to 300 from his immediate left. The player on the button also made the call, and the three watched the flop come down {10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{8-Clubs}.

The first player bet out 500, which only Lin called. The {j-Clubs} on the turn didn't interest ether player as both checked, before the {2-Hearts} completed the board.

Liu Commits All

We arrived at the table with 18,000 chips in the pot, and the board reading {6-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}.

J.J. Liu was sitting motionless, after just committing her remaining 10,000 chips into the pot. Her opponent in the hand tanked for over a minute, before finally releasing his hand and relinquishing the pot to Liu.

A great start for Liu, who sits on 28,000 in chips.
